Big Sandy is the premier statesman of the award-winning rockabilly band Big Sandy & The Fly-Rite Boys. For nearly three decades they have set the pace for rockabilly originality with their internationally-renowned touring and their prolific recording career.
On Friday night, the 'Boys will follow Shanda & The Howlers with the kind of musical set that has made them dance hall favorites all over the world.
On Saturday night, Big Sandy will lead the Memphis Kings on a classic R&B night featuring Tommy Harkenrider on guitar, Morry Sochat on harp and vocals and Mando Dorame from Royal Crown Revue on saxophone.
Shanda & The Howlers are a rhythm & blues revivalist band out of Las Vegas. Influences in their sound can be traced to such artists as Big Maybelle, Ruth Brown, Otis Redding, The Crystals, The Marvelettes, Gino Parks, LaVern Baker, and James Brown. See them Friday night opening for Big Sandy before they head to Sin City for their performance at Viva the next weekend.
The Zooms are a well established cover band playing hits from the 60s right up to contemporary chart hits, and they are from Yorkshire.
Ramblin' James & the Billy Boppers has to be one of the hottest groups of traditional rockabilly to come out of the UK in a long time. 2017 Ameripolitan-nominated guitarist Ashley Kingman has been playing with James for over a decade, and their perseverance has paid off! Combine fantastic vocals & playing with catchy songwriting - and you just can't go wrong.
The Memphis Kings Individually are musicians Tommy Harkenrider, John Dominguez, and Ron Felton. The band was formed while backing a variety of singers and instrumentalists such as James Harman, Junior Watson, Big Jay Mcneely, Paul Pigat(Canada), Lynwood Slim,John Nemeth, San Pedro Slim, and Johnny Law. Their forte is a buffet of Roots Music, blending rhythm and blues, country, early jazz, and a range of styles reflecting the greasy sound of The Memphis Kings.
Fanny and the Atta Boys is based out of San Diego with a truly eclectic sound, amalgamating a variety of genres into their music. Their sound is largely centered on American roots, country swing, and depression era jazz, with classic blues styling thrown in for good measure.
A Jay Wade's Honky Tonk sound takes rockabilly back to it's country roots. Just loud enough to stop you thinking too much, and go right on ordering the whisky. Hailing from the UK, this band of talented musicians plays western swing the way it was meant to be played... for drinking, dancing and romancing.
The Rayford Bros are a Vintage style rock n’ roll band from Southern California that performs 50’s-60’s Rock n’ Roll, Surf, Rockabilly and Country - as well as originals that have a vintage sound and feel. Link on guitar, Miles Upright Bass, Wolfman drums, with all three singing lead and harmony vocals,
