”Many people have hobbies. My hobby is collecting rare, old daggers from odd and interesting parts of the world, and I find a tremendous interest in the history of old daggers for they hold secrets and intrigue of past centuries and represent the perfection developed by highly skilled handcraftsmen who executed, during the 15th through 18th centuries, the exquisite specimens you may view on the back bar.” --- Donn

Now, for the first time, you may view one of Donn’s famous daggers at Don the Beachcomber’s in Sunset Beach. Come in and find out how it happened that we came across this piece of history!

Come in also to rediscover some of Donn’s lost drinks. We have for the first time in over 20 years recreated several of his original “Rhum Rhapsodies!” I personally take pride in squeezing the fresh juices and making the special syrups required for these vintage cocktails, upholding the standards one would expect from Don the Beachcomber himself!

Rum Barrel -- Served in our very own "rum barrel" mug, is the original 16 ingredient recipe. Not too sweet and not too tart, the perfect blend of juices, silver, amber, and Demerara rums.

Check out The Jungle Jetsetter, official cocktail of The Tikiyaki Orchestra (one of our favorite bands here at DTB), the Nui Nui, and the Scorpion. Don't forget to bring your mug to leave in our Ohana Hutch to drink out of every time you visit (space is filling up quickly...). And keep checking our calendar of events for live music and special event listings.

Did you know Donn Beach died in 1989 having patented over 80 drinks!! One of those was the Navy Grog, Frank Sinatra's favorite at the Palm Springs Don the Beachcomber.
