Join Mitzi & Harry Kaufman as she celebrates a milestone birthday by hosting a musical fundraiser featuring Dave Stuckey & the Hot House Gang, Morry Sochat & the Memphis Kings and Brian Coakley of the Cadillac Tramps.
It's your chance to dine, dance and drink the night away to support CSP's Holiday Adopt-A-Family efforts.
In lieu of birthday gifts, Mitzi Kaufman is asking for donations of GIFT CARDS in any denomination from Walmart, Target, grocery stores, or gas cards for this program that she has supported for many years.
Her birthday wish is that every family that needs adopting will have what they need this holiday season!
And, some of the door prize tickets will be given out free just for showing up!
Community Service Programs (CSP) is a 501( c ) (3) tax-exempt organization committed to serving youths, adults and families living in Orange County who are, or who are at risk of becoming, involved in the criminal justice system. The Victim Assistance Program provides services to victims – through crisis intervention and support, counseling, emergency aid, restitution and compensation, and court assistance.
CSP's Victim Assistance Programs sponsors a “Holiday Adopt-A-Family Program” each year.
Victims of violent crime are often devastated both financially and emotionally. In many cases the only holiday food and gifts these families receive is from our program. It is through the generosity they receive not only gifts for the holiday, but hope for the future.
Dave Stuckey leads the Hot House Gang as a practitioner of hot 1920s jazz. One of the most popular dance bands in SoCal, the Hot House Gang attracts the best dancers from all over, making this not only a great musical experience but a joy to watch as well.
Morry Sochat has brought a fresh sound to the Chicago Blues scene. Mixing classic Chicago Blues with Swing and Rock N’ Roll from the 1950’s, he is influenced by the best in blues history: Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Louis Jordan, Junior Wells and all of the Chicago greats. Great dance music!
Sochat appears with The Memphis Kings, whose forte is a buffet of roots music, blending rhythm and blues, country and early jazz. Members are musicians Tommy Harkenrider, John Dominguez, and Ron Felton. The Memphis King's fan base represent blues purists, greasers, rockabilly fans, dancers and bikers alike.
Orange County's Cadillac Tramps riffed their way to prominence with an acclaimed live show that earned a solid reputation for the band on the Southern Californian club circuit. Brian Coakley is their vocalist/guitarist, and will open this show with a special showcase you won't want to miss.
The vintage tiki ballroom at Don the Beachcomber adds its own vibe to the evening with its South Pacific style, class and comfort. We recommend reserving your seats in advance for the best views and fastest service at this classy cabaret.
Don't miss this chance to dance, dine and drink to some swinging music while watching some of the best dancers in California pairing up on the dance floor, while raising funds for a very appropriate cause: Adopt-A-Family for the holidays!
